On Halloween night in the world of Lineage 2, a brave Dark Elf ventured deep into the haunted woods of the Blazing Swamp. Rumors of a witches' sabbath had spread through nearby villages, but he thought them nothing more than superstition. His obsidian armor glinted faintly beneath a blood-red moon as he moved forward, determined to hunt the Phantom Lord who’d been terrorizing the lands.
As he pressed on, a chilling chant began to echo around him, haunting and low. The trees seemed to close in, their branches clawing like skeletal hands. Suddenly, a figure emerged from the mist—a ghostly woman with hollow eyes and skin pale as death. She raised a bony hand and spoke with a cold voice: "Welcome to the Sabbath."
Out of the shadows, creatures appeared: spectral wolves with fiery eyes, witches shrouded in blackened hoods, and even the ghosts of his fallen kin, their faces frozen in silent agony. Heart racing, he gripped his weapon, but the spirits passed through him, leaving a dark energy that paralyzed his body.
Then, a cloaked figure appeared—the Dread Witch, an ancient power cursed to haunt the lands of Aden every Halloween. With a flick of her wrist, shadows formed chains around him, binding him in darkness. She leaned in close and whispered, "Tonight, you belong to us."
Desperation flooded his heart. With a final surge of defiance, he broke free from the chains, his weapon shattering them with one powerful thrust. The Witch shrieked, and he turned, running through the twisted forest as ghostly hands clawed at him, trying to drag him back into the dark.
He burst out of the swamp just as dawn broke, the spirits halting and fading into mist. The sun’s first light banished the darkness, leaving him alone—panting, shaken, but alive. Halloween was over, and the witches had retreated, at least until the next year.
