Great :) Solution for other players:

 

Please go to NPC Butler in any town and change the language to English in his menu.

At the moment Chinese localization is turned on on your character, and since you did not install the Chinese patch, you do not see any hieroglyphics. Switching the language to English from NPC Butler will resolve the issue :)
