Updater Problems

Hey, i have a problem with the updater... see the picture. 

I added the e-global updater to firewall and virus exceptions, still nothing worked.

Then i saw on the forum to delete the system and im still getting the same error. 

Ideas?

edit: it fails at systextures/BranchSys2.utx

Same, will try reinstal windows today. maybe will help because on my loptop all works perfect.

i reinstalled windows, its some kind of problems on permisions for apps, reinstallation helped for me

Thanks for your answer. For me doing that is not a choice at the moment. I've tried to undo all protections of windows defender but still isn't downloading... If anyone knows how to solve it please writie it down here

Hello, try to check the options of the game folder and unmark the property "Read-only" or smth like that, click OK and agree with suggestion to apply this permission to all files inside the folder.

Thanks for the suggestion, it did not work tho... I'm kindof running out of options here. The updater wont run and cant tell anymore why is this happening

I hear many ppl are having this issue, for me it's on and off. Idk why it works fine and after some time it stops working..

From all my tests it seems to ahve something to do with this Eglobal.dll file and windows firewall/antivirus

I got the same problem.

- EDIT-

I found a solution.
Made a small step by step, must be followed POINT by POINT

1. Delete your gamefolder
2. make a new gamefolder
3. Donwload the gameclient from utorrent, see the website under FILES
4.When its downloaded RIGHT click on the file, before extrating it, and uncheck the "safety features" added to the file. Under properties
5. Extract the file into the new gamefolder.
6.Run the updater as administrator
7.Problem should be fixed

Yes; as Joen wrote. These are the following steps one should follow to manage the updater to work:

 

1. Delete your gamefolder

2. make a new gamefolder

3. Donwload the gameclient from utorrent, see the website under FILES

4.When its downloaded RIGHT click on the file, before extrating it, and uncheck the "safety features" added to the file.

5. Extract the file into the new gamefolder.

6.Run the updater as administrator

7.Problem should be fixed

 

Plz check if this works for you too, if it doesnt then you need to this:

1. Open Commando promt as ADMINISTRATOR.

2. type: net user administrator /active:yes

3. click Enter

4. Log off of the pc

5. Login as ADMIN

6. follow step 1-7 from the previous guide.

7. when done, open COMMANDO prompt again as ADMINISTRATIOR

8. type: net user administrator /active:no

9. LOG off your pc

10. log in at your normal account, on your pc.

 

*I had to do all the steps to make it work, and consider that will need to access to ADMINISTRATOR user everytime an update appears. Best solution i could find, thanks to 

@SmitemeDaddy#7419 on discord.

At step number 4. - I cannot find this "safety features" that I'm suppose to uncheck. Can you share a screenshot?
