End of support for Win7 and Win8 Operating Systems

It is with sadness in our eyes that we inform you that support for the game on Windows 7 and Windows 8 is ending. Do not rush to get too upset, this opens up for us, as a project, new prospects for development and stability of work, both servers and clients, and for you, as a consumer, the absence of negativity from lags and more positive emotions from public events.

  • The main reasons for switching to Win10\11:
    • Microsoft has stopped supporting Windows 7 and 8;
    • Windows 7 and 8 have too many vulnerabilities;
    • As part of the work on the new season and optimization of the client in general, a lot of work is being done with multithreading. To unlock the full potential of the client and maximize the efficiency of our labor costs, it is necessary to use Windows 10+;
    • To keep up with the times, we need modern tools that don't work on Windows 7 and 8;
      • We are adding an in-game browser; older versions of Windows do not support the latest Chrome updates.

We understand that this is a pain for 8.2% of our audience, but we suggest keeping up with the times and enjoying your favorite game. You can download the current version of Windows from the official Microsoft website .
Please note that even companies such as Steam are also ending support for the above operating systems.

And now for more good news, which became possible thanks to the transition to Win10+.
It's finished! Now you can use the browser inside the game client. This is a huge step in informing the community: now you can read the news without being distracted from the game, or take part in forum battles while waiting for a party member.

To open the browser, you need to go to the main menu of the game client and click the appropriate button, it looks like this:

For our project, a new updater was developed from scratch . At first glance, this doesn’t change much, but that’s only at first glance.
Here are some of the main features that are acquired thanks to this:

  • Operational fixes. Since we have a developer on our team, we can always quickly fix anything that’s broken 🙂
  • Functionality development. Having all the sources on hand, if necessary, we will be able to develop and add everything you need;
  • Update speed . Thanks to the fact that a new architecture was used during development, downloading and installing updates has now become much faster.

You can download the new updater from the link .

General rules:

  • Move the downloaded updater to the folder where you want to download the game; 
  • If your game does not start, add the game folder to your antivirus and/or firewall exception;
  • "Check files" - but this is not only checking files, at the same time the updater downloads them;

We would like to point out that this patch note is not concept for the 4th season of the MasterWork server . This topic is the result of an update for the Eternal server , as well as the base on which subsequent updates for the season will be applied.

Armor Sets of С Grade for coupons:

  • For Eternal server:
    • Now instead of minimal items from the set (in some cases only Body and Helmet), full set will be given either with 4 (In case of full body armor ) or 5 items;
    • More sets were added for coupon exchange. For example now you can select out of this heavy armor sets: Full Plate Set, Composite Set, Dwarven Chain Set rather then only being able to choseFull Plate Set.
       

       

    • For 4th Season of Masterwork:

      • C Grade packs will become available from ~13th of November.
      •  All player who bought Starter Packs before the coupons become available will receive them separately after they become available.
        • Important Clarification:

For complicating and rooting out abuse of specific abilities with high impact, we added new mechanics in game logic. Specific abilities (listed below), go on 15 second cooldown, if you admit the character with said skills in your party if they have this skills (listed below), available for use or have less then 15 seconds left on their cooldown. Or if said character invites someone else in party.

  • Changed behaivor of  skill0028.png Aggressive Monsters:
    • If the level of the aggressive monster is under 9-15 compared to the players, chance that the monster will aggro the player is substantially smaller.
    • If the level of the aggressive monster is under 15+  compared to the platers, then there is 0% chance that you will aggro it. Additionally there is 5% chance that you'll terrify the poor creature and it will run away screaming.  
       
  • Base  skill0113.png Attack Radius  of summoned creatures has increased:
    • From 40 to 70 Units.

    • After trying to log into an account which is already in use a window with a timer will pop up, asking you to verify your choice:

  • We have a fully developed clan privilege system. Now clan leaders can allow or deny these privileges to clan members:
    • Clan leader can allow or deny full clan warehouse access to clan members, by default this option is turned off;
      • Please NOTE!   To use said new functions a player needs to have privileges ticked for the "Withdraw item from CWH (Clan warehouse), or the new functions wont have any effect on them.
    • Clan leader can block the ability of an individual player (including ones in academy) to write in clan chat, by default everyone has this privilege;
