Dear friends,

Some were shaking, some were groaning, but absolutely everyone was waiting for it!
We are happy to announce the fifth major update of the 5th season of MasterWork for servers🔥
Fire and🌊 Water. This update marks the end of the Interlude stage and the transition to Gracia. Your character development reaches a new level, allowing you to get a completely new return on your basic actions. This update brings many fundamental changes to the game, without complicating/changing the game beyond recognition. The most important of them are:

  • Transition from the Trait system to the Attribute system:
    • Many monsters and skills now have Attribute Attack, so don't neglect Attribute Defense:
      • skill1352.pngElemental Protection/ skill1191.pngResist Fire/ magmatic_32.pngMagmatic Rhythm and similar skills.
  • Skill Enchanting is one of the most important mechanics for enhancing your character. Starting from this season, the first levels of your skill upgrades can be enchanted for free!
  • New Locations that create new hotbeds of battle between players for control over them, such as Hellbound, Chromatic Highlands and others;
    • However, this does not mean that the old, familiar locations will lose their relevance (the drops in many of them have been revised).
  • Olympiad Jewelry and Heroic Skills;
  • New Skills for some classes;
  • Key Skills 3 professions that increase the effectiveness of your actions.

The new city, image.png Arcan City, populated by cats, will now become a staging area and gathering point for those wishing to enter instances. You can read about all the innovations of the next update of the 5th season of MasterWork in this Patch Note🙃

  • Giant's Codex Skill enchantingis available after receiving 3 profession:
    Why is this important?
    • Skill enchantingis a key mechanic that gives your character the maximum boost. If at levels 1-74, character leveling is needed to learn skills, then after 76 — to enchant skills. Even having reached the maximum level of the season stage, your character still continues to receive SP in full, which is a key resource for enchanting skills after level 76. Improving skills increases their magic level (magic_lvl can be found by hovering the mouse cursor over your skill ). At character level 74, you can learn the last skills of the second profession, but to use them effectively at higher levels, you need to increase their magic level. The difference between the skill level and the target level affects the damage and the chance of successful use (for example, debuffs):

      • If the skill level is 3 or more lower than the target's level, the chance decreases. The greater the difference, the lower the chance;
      • A difference of ±2 levels does not affect the chance;
      • If the skill level is 3 or more higher than the target's level, the chance increases. The greater the difference, the higher the chance;
      • Many players focus on equipment and epic jewelry, forgetting that improving basic skills has a greater impact on the strength and effectiveness of the character.

        Quest name: Containment of Elemental Power

        Quest NPC: Aden — Merchant Holly or Rune — Merchant Weber
        Reward: 202160 Exp, 20375 SP, 2 Attribute Stones of one element of your choice.
        Brief description: Teachers Yan and Yin ask for help in capturing the Spirits of the Mad Wind/Water, for which they promised a reward.

        There are 2 options for completing this quest.

        Option in Aden City:
        Talk (twice) to Merchant Holly in the Trading Post. She will send you to Teacher Yin, who is standing near the forge.
        Yin will give you a sword that adds 10 attribute to the elemental fire attack. This sword is shadow — it lasts 10 minutes, regardless of whether it is equipped or not. If you do not manage to complete the quest before the sword disappears, talk to Yin again — he will give you a new one. This sword is A-grade, you can use charges (SSA BSpSA SpSA).
        Your first task will be to bring 6 Elemental Piece: Water. Kill the mob Mad Water Spirit to get the quest items. You can find these mobs under the bridge on the way to the Graveyard, they are not aggressive and not social. The quest item Elemental Piece: Water will be given to the one who deals the last blow with the quest sword with the attribute.
        When you bring 6 Elemental Pieces: Water, Yin he will send you to bring 6 more.
        As a reward you will receive 2 Attribute Stones of any element of your choice (Fire/Water/Dark/Holy/Earth/Air).
        These stones cannot be dropped, sold or exchanged.

        Rune variant:

We continue the hunt until we collect all 6 pieces.

        After you have collected all the items, approach Ian. He thanks you, but he still needs 6 Elemental Parts. He gives you the sword again and buffs you with the earth attribute for 10 minutes.
        Kill the Crazy Air Spirit with Ian's sword until you collect 6 parts.

  • Hellbound should be chosen by organized clans that are ready not only for difficult PvE, but also for collective battles with the protection of allies. This does not mean that you, not being a member of such a clan, will not be able to find a spot in this location. Very often, individual spots are occupied by such groups and players. However, when making this choice, you should be prepared that from time to time you will have to defend and/ or attack other players.
  • Fairy Settlement appeared last season and was very popular with both organized groups (on "top spots") and groups from the search system. The location is quite profitable and interesting in terms of farming mechanics, but not as profitable as, for example, Enchanted Megalith (Green Spot), which gives the opportunity to fight with groups of your level, while not falling behind the strongest groups of the server. Whether to choose this location for farming or not is entirely up to you, but we highly recommend visiting it at least once.
  • Isle of Prayer is an old and well-known location for players, which received many pleasant changes during the development of each of the 5 seasons of MasterWork. This location is not intended for large-organized groups, but will be quite an acceptable place for independent play or in a pair with several like-minded people. Pumping sub-classes, adjusting the level of the main one and at the same time getting valuable drops — an accurate description of this location.
  • Chromatic Highlands was significantly expanded in Season 4 visually (which allowed to add a significant number of new spots), and in total with all the changes over the past seasons — it became a worthy alternative to the best locations in the world. The times of "let's hide in a corner and not see other players until the end of the prime" are in the past. The location is great for both organized and small groups.
  • Monastery of Silence is a great secluded location that will suit groups that are gaining strength or those who want to take a break from regular and protracted battles. This does not mean that you are guaranteed a "quiet evening", but the battles here will be more local skirmishes between groups of comparable strength.
  • Forge of Gods does not lose its relevance until the very late stages of the game. The location itself has both average and best spots, so you can find both a secluded corner for your prime and massive battles until late at night or early in the morning. The efficiency of farming in this location greatly depends on which spots you take and can "bring together".
  • Mimirs Forest is our new location, which will not lose its relevance. The location is large enough for groups of different strengths to be located on it. In this regard, you can face massive battles, and calmly spend your prime not participating, but only watching the battles on your wide-angle monitors.
  • Pagan Temple was updated last season and, like many other locations, received not only changes in drops and farming strategies, but also a new look. It turned from a closed box into huge open halls and rooms. This seemingly not the most important change — greatly affected the overall "mood of the location" and the players on it. Spending time here has become more pleasant, new mini-bosses will please you with a pleasant drop, monsters — experience, and Raid Boss Andreas Van Halter — exciting battles.
  • Imperial Tomb has been improved in the current season, in which previously unimportant rooms have become much more profitable, monsters have received more drops, including Attribute Stones. Thus, the already quite relevant location has been filled with a large number of players.
  • Silent Valley, similar to Isle of Prayer, is well suited for solo players, especially melee classes. Farming this location you can get simple, but at the same time, pleasant Experience, but it will not please you with drops.
  • Primeval Isle is still there. Still one of the best locations for XP and PvP.

  1. Make sure your subclasses are level 75, which will give you not only basic buff skills but also key Master Skills;
  2. Don't forget to enchant your secondary and tertiary skills:
    • First of all, enchant your skills for free (second-professional by 3, third-professional by 1);
    • Don't ignore it and continue to enchant your skills along with your character development. It gives much more power than enchanting weapons/equipment.
  3. Choose Locations based on your strength and your playstyle. There are no bad locations on MasterWork: each location based on your level will offer you both a pleasant drop and leveling, as well as valuable quests. You shouldn't go to the "title location\spot" if you can't effectively kill monsters and defend it from competitors. It's much better to find a spot and opponents based on your level, which will allow you to be significantly stronger at a distance;
  4. Get new Equipment and Attribute Stones. The delayed ATT stone insertion system will allow you to prepare for this moment and be at a decent level. Don't put it off until later. It will be harder later.😄;
  5. Visit our Stores and choose the product you need at new prices, which will allow you to spend your time in the game even more effectively and enjoyably;
