The New Year is coming, and it comes with a cheerful spirit! 🎄
It’s the perfect time to spread warmth and creativity.

This time, we invite you to participate in a contest by choosing the category that suits you best: create winter postcards, make atmospheric in-game screenshots, or write congratulatory poems — unleash your imagination and share it with us.

 First and foremost, we invite you to participate in our contest on the promo page!
The most creative and heartfelt entry will receive a Gremlin figure (yes, sent from us to you by mail, a real one that you can place on your shelf :) ), crafted by the talented @Karadja
She often shares her works in a dedicated thread on the forum. If you'd like to add a "new friend" to your shelf, such as Valakas or a character from your favourite game, feel free to contact her — she will gladly bring your wish to life with her golden hands!

 

Next, we’ll tell you about the contest on the forum :)
Contest duration: from December 23 to January 5, 2025, inclusive.

Please note: you can participate in the forum contest in only ONE category.
This means, for example, if you write a poem and then create and attach a screenshot, the screenshot will not be eligible to participate in the contest.

 Category: Handmade Postcard

In this category, you must create a magical postcard with your hands! Or, if you prefer, let your kid take on the task — we won’t object :)

 

• There are no specific rules. The main requirement is that the postcard must include the words MasterWork and 2025!
• Once the postcard is ready, write a New Year’s greeting on the back. You can address the greeting to anyone you like.
• Take a photo of the postcard from both sides (the main side and the one with the handwritten greeting).
• Post the photo on the forum, and also include the TEXT of your greeting alongside the photo (as your handwriting might be difficult to read, and we’d like to read everything clearly).

 

The most creative entries, in our opinion, will receive the top prizes:

 Category: Congratulatory Poem and New Year Ornament

In this category, you must complete two tasks: write a poem and take a photo of a New Year ornament.

About the New Year Ornaments:
You can create a New Year ornament with your hands, for example, by cutting it out of paper. Alternatively, you can use or borrow a real one from your tree.
Be sure to write the MasterWork / MW  name or logo on the ornament with a marker or attach it somehow. You can draw, print, cut out, or use any other method. Get creative!

About the Poem:
Write a short poem congratulating the players and the MasterWork project on the New Year!
You can address your friends, foes, the project administration, or the project — it’s up to you. The main requirement is to mention the project name: MasterWork :)

The poem must be 8 lines long (no, not a haiku).

Gather with your friends (or your alternate accounts) in wintery Giran or Arcan, and take a group screenshot.

• The number of participants is unlimited, but there must be at least three characters!
  Don’t hold back — use character emotions and don't forget to type a greeting in chat: "HAPPY NEW YEAR, MASTERWORK!"
  Make sure to press Alt + H to hide the interface.
