Dear friends!
We are significantly improving and enhancing group gameplay in MasterWork II and would like to share what awaits players on the Eternal server and 5th Season players.
The game features a modifier that increases the experience (EXP), SP, and Vitality points players receive based on the group composition and number of participants.
This modifier activates first — before runes, vitality, and personal boosts.
How it worked in previous chronicles:
Interlude/Gracia:
A mob gives 1,000 EXP. If 9 people in a group, the EXP bonus will be x1.72, which rewards the group with 1,720 EXP (instead of 1,000). For each member of the full group, this will be about 191 EXP (instead of 111).
For Classic:
1,000 x 2 / 9 = 2,000 EXP for the group, which gives about 222 EXP for each member of the full group.
For HighFive/MW1-4 seasons:
1,000 x 2.2 / 9 = 2,200 EXP for the group, which gives about 244 EXP for each member of the full group.
Key changes for the 5th season of MasterWork and the Eternal server:
The base levelling modifier will be increased to x2.7 (see the table in the post).
Example for the full group.
When killing a monster that gives 1,000 EXP without a group, we now get:
1,000 x 2.7 / 9 = 2,700 EXP for the group, which gives 300 EXP to each member.
What does this mean? Let’s take a closer look:
3 players in the group: x1.25 (125%) — about 417 EXP each (based on 1,000 base EXP).
4 players: x1.40 (140%) — 350 EXP each.
Now, the most interesting part:
5 players: x1.50 (150%) — 300 EXP each.
6 players: x1.80 (180%) — 300 EXP each.
7 players: x2.10 (210%) — 300 EXP each.
8 players: x2.40 (240%) — 300 EXP each.
9 players: x2.70 (270%) — 300 EXP each.
From the new season, levelling in a group of 5 or 9 players will provide the same number of experience. Now, no need to choose between groups of 5, 7, or 9 players — always aim to form a full group.
If you are in a random group, we recommend filling it up to 9 people — the experience will remain the same, but monsters will die faster, significantly speeding up experience gain.
Conclusion:
This is a major change in the game mechanics. Now, forming random groups for levelling is not just possible but essential. Your levelling and farming speed will increase proportionally with the number of participants in the group. Aim to form full groups, farm, level up, and enjoy the game.
Of course, you can still play solo or with a few windows, but remember, this is a social game — playing together is not only more efficient but also more fun!
